Characteristics of nickel based catalyst
● Gray-black powder
● Active hydrogen adsorbed on the surface
● Catches fire spontaneously when exposed to air
As a replacement of Raney nickel catalyst, Nickel Based Catalyst For Chemical Industries is mainly used for catalytic hydrogenation reaction of basic organic chemistry.
It can be widely used for the hydrogenation of carbon-carbon bond of organics, hydrogenation of carbon-nitrogen bond, hydrogenation of nitroso and nitro compounds, hydrogenation of AZO and azoxy compound, imine, dibenzyl azide etc.
Because of slightly lower activity, it is for easier hydrogenation or selective hydrogenation etc reactions.
In the hydrogenation process to produce cyclobutylene sulfoxide, hydrogenation process of nitrophenol to produce p-aminophenol, hydrogenation of aromatics to produce naphthenic hydrocarbon, hydrogenation of aldehyde and ketone to produce alcohol, the nickel based catalyst is acting high performance.
