1. COx Methanation catalyst is used in methanation process in synthetic ammonia or hydrogen plant with hydrocarbons feedstock;
2. It can also used in methanation process for hydrogen production with coal gas from coal gasification process;
3. And used in methanation process for pyrolysis ethylene production.
The COx methanation catalyst uses alumina as a carrier to support nickel active components and additives. The COx methanation catalyst has excellent compressive and wear-resistant strength, excellent low-temperature reactivity, and very good thermal stability. The service life of the methanation catalyst produced by Avant is 30% longer than that of similar products, which can reach more than 5 years.
The catalyst is divided into two states of titanium oxide and reduced state, which is more convenient for customers to use for filling. A small amount of carbon oxides in hydrogen nitrogen or hydrogen-rich gas, which is mainly used to synthesize ammonia, is hydrogenated into methane.
Characteristics of COx methanation catalyst:
1. Low light off temperature, high activity and good stability in activity;
2. Good resistance to fluctuation of operation conditions and good operating flexibility;
3. Excellent mechanical strength and long service life;
4. Low COx slip;
5. Both oxidized and reduced state catalysts.
