The clogging of primary reforming catalyst mainly comes from the impurities in the steam (mainly SiO₂) and rust, which cover the surface of the catalyst, not only reducing the activity of the catalyst, but also increasing the resistance of the bed. The process steam is provided by the steam package, therefore, the SiO content in the steam should be strictly controlled from the process indexes ≤ 0.02× 10-⁶ during normal operation; rust mainly comes from the inner wall of the process pipeline, and it will be brought into a section of the furnace with the process gas, in order to prevent the inner wall of the process pipeline from generating rust during the stopping period, it should be used after the stopping period.
N₂ gas to blow dry the process pipeline, and strictly prohibit the process pipeline water.
