How does the carbon chemical stage of ammonia synthesis react

Gas flow

The conversion gas from the conversion section enters the main carbonisation tower and the carbonisation pay tower from the bottom of the tower. The carbon dioxide in the conversion gas is absorbed by reacting with the carbonisation liquid and concentrated ammonia in the main tower and the pay tower respectively. The reaction heat is removed by the cooling water in the cooling water tank. The gas comes out from the top of the pay-off tower and enters the lower recovery section of the tail gas scrubber tower, where the small amount of carbon dioxide and trace hydrogen sulphide in the gas are continued to be absorbed by sulphur-free ammonia, and then enters the upper cleaning section. The trace carbon dioxide in the gas is further absorbed by soft water, and finally reaches the process index after water separation, and is sent to the fine desulphurisation tower for further desulphurisation, and then sent to the compressor three inlet.


Liquid flow

Concentrated ammonia is pumped by concentrated ammonia pump from the concentrated ammonia tank into the pay-off tower, which on one hand dissolves the scars in the tower, and on the other hand absorbs the remaining carbon dioxide in the tail gas of the main tower, and gradually improves the carbonation degree of the concentrated ammonia. Then, the solution of the pay tower is pumped out from the bottom by the carbonation pump and pumped into the main tower, where it further absorbs the carbon dioxide in the transformed gas and generates the suspension containing ammonium bicarbonate crystals, which is then pressed into the separation post by the bottom take-out tube for separation.

 The sulphur-free ammonia water in the recovery section of the recovery tower comes from the sulphur-free ammonia used in the synthesis or copper washing section and the diluted ammonia water in the recovery section is pressed into the diluted ammonia water to be pressed into the mother liquor tank of the ammonia absorption post and the diluted ammonia water tank or to be sent to the desulphurisation post for use, and the water coming out from the recovery section is directly discharged into the sewage ditch.
