Since the 1970s, foreign countries have generally adopted continuous hydrogenation reduction technology to produce fine chemical intermediates.However, there are not many domestic continuous hydrogenation reduction technologies applied to large-scale production.The main reason is that the equipment is not matched and there are certain engineering technical problems.There are two kinds of hydrogenation reduction processes that are practically used in industry, namely gas phase hydrogenation method and liquid phase hydrogenation method.The gas phase hydrogenation method is only suitable for the reduction of nitro compounds with low boiling point and easy gasification.The liquid-phase hydrogenation method is not limited by the boiling point of nitro compounds, and has a wider range of applications.The liquid-phase hydrogenation reaction is a heterogeneous reaction, exhibiting diffusion control.Therefore, in order to strengthen the hydrogenation reduction process, it is necessary to start with the hydrogenation equipment to strengthen the mass transfer between the gas-solid-liquid three-phase.The following introduces several common continuous hydrogenation reactors and their applications in chemical industry.
