Deep cooling method is to use the principle of deep freezing to liquefy the air, so that the components with different boiling points such as oxygen and nitrogen in the air can be distilled through the distillation tower to separate and produce oxygen and nitrogen. After nearly 100 years of development and improvement, this technology has reached a very high technical level. The capacity of China's deep-cooling oxygen generator can reach up to 40,000m3/h, and the power consumption of the oxygen generator has been reduced to below 0.5kwh/m3, which is a mature technology.
Variable pressure adsorption method utilizes molecular sieve adsorbent to adsorb nitrogen in the air, and realizes air separation by changing the operating pressure. This method is mainly applied to small air separation units.
